Some random things that have been going on:
The winter here in Chicago has been terrible so far. The temperature was below 0 for a few days in a row. The snow plows buried my car and I haven't been able to get it out yet. Probably next I'll get a ticket for not moving it on a street-cleaning day.
Kim accepted an assistant professorship at St. John's University in Minnesota, so I'd better get used to cold winters. I'm disappointed to be leaving Chicago, but I think it will be OK. I'm planning to telecommute to my current job for a while, but I haven't narrowed down the details of that yet.
Last night Thomas spontaneously told me "I'll drink your milkshake!" after I told him he couldn't eat my meatballs. I laughed so hard. My 2 year-old is making inside jokes about movies he's never seen. Also, he tells me he has a baby kangaroo (sometimes big-boy kangaroo) in his tummy.
We finally got Diet Mountain Dew in the work soda machines. My coffee intake has decreased accordingly.
I briefly had to turn off comments on this blog because the comment spam was getting ridiculous. They are back on now with some filtering in place.
