This page is part of the Spacing Guild Co-op. This site began as Matt On-line in 1996. Since then, it has undergone many major revisions, including a former version written in JSP, culminating in this version you see here. This version has been in use since 2007. I wrote the backend software using the Django web framework. The page design is by Andreas Viklund, modified by myself, and taken from Open Source Web designs.
As for myself, I'm currently a trade developer at Allston Trading in Chicago, IL. I recently dropped out of a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. My area was wireless networking. My master's thesis is titled "An Interlay Architecture for Wireless Mesh Networks." I graduated from the
University of Florida (2001) with a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics and an M.S. from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
My wife, Kim is a student at the University of Notre Dame, where she works towards a Ph.D. in Theology. My son, Thomas was born July 28, 2007 and is a student of crawling, walking,
and babbling.
For fun, I like to play video and board games, program computers, read novels, and go on field trips in Chicago. I also enjoy traveling and camping, although life in the midwest has made outdoor activities more difficult.
