Secret Episode III Spoilers

May 31, 2002

I've recently discovered some information that reveals a major plot twist in Star Wars: Episode III. For my birthday, I received a small Star Wars LEGO diorama. It features Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine on the second death star, right before the final battle between Vader and Luke. It looks like LEGO let some of their secret plot knowledge slip, however, since the emperor was not quite what I expected. Instead of the well-known face of Ian McDiarmid, this LEGO Emperor bears a striking resemblance to none other than HARRY POTTER. Complete down to the spectacles, Gryffindor sweater, and lightning-bolt shaped forehead scar!

This is a plot twist I would not have expected from Lucas, who generally tries to keep his films as devoid of outside influence as possible, but I think I can understand how this is crucial to the Star Wars saga. Clearly, Harry Potter, disgruntled with the slow pace of study at Hoggwarts, becomes frustrated and begins to turn toward the Dark Side/Arts in an effort to gain power faster. Being such a powerful wizard (and no doubt having a forehead scar chock full of medichlorians) he could easily defeat Emperor Palpatine and assume command of the galaxy. Even the Force is no match for the power of Wizardry!
