Mario = Barbie

I read a comment made on a web forum recently which made me realize something about Mario from the Super Mario Bros. game. Mario is the Barbie of the video game world.
Barbie is well-known not only for her disproportionately small feet and disproportionately large breasts, but also for her incredibly diverse talents. Barbie is a nurse, a supermodel, a fighter pilot, a cheerleader, a lifeguard, drives fancy cars and lives in a huge house with her layabout boyfriend.
Similarly, Mario has a seemingly endless reserve of talent. Mario is a plumber (of course!), a doctor, a world-class tennis player and referee, a baseball player, and judges boxing matches. He also likes to drive go-carts, play party games, teach typing, compose music, and paint in his very own studio! It makes you wonder how he still finds time to save Princess Peach and still get in a round of golf.
