Magic

Oct. 23, 2003

Back in the early days high school, I used to play a card game called Magic: The Gathering. I gave it up by my junior year because the cost of buying cards constantly to keep up with the game was prohibitive. Recently, I discovered a program called Magic Workstation, which recreates the experience for no cost. It has a database of all the magic cards ever printed (including some strange joke sets such as Unglued) and allows you to play with them online against other opponents. If you are really sneaky, you can import the original card art and flavor text. I've tried out other online play facilities before, and this is definitely the best free one. If you've played Magic in the past, and are looking to kill your copious free time, check it out.
