Google-bombing backfire

May 10, 2002

Recently, my friend Jordan Wiens started a campaign to get his site listed as the first result from google when you search with his name.
It worked. Yesterday his site was at the top of the list. However, it seems that google caught on to his scheme. Now, his main page is not even listed in the top ten. I suspect that Google's google-bomb detection algorithms found us out quite easily, considering that all our pages link to one another, and all come from the same IP address. If its going to work, Jordan will probably need to get people from outside of denialofpurpose to start linking to his site.
